Belgian live communication agency The Oval Office supports President Obama to get his selfie record back

Monday, March 24, 2014 — THE OVAL OFFICE - BELGIUM Office of the Press Secretary FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE March 24,2014 At the occasion of his first visit to the EU institutions on March 26, President Obama is asking all Belgians and in particular inhabitants of Waregem, Brussels residents, people visiting the Capital of Europe or attending the event in BOZAR, and all European and Belgian Government officials and press being present at the U.S.-EU Summit to make a selfie with him. Recently the Oscar selfie shared by Ellen DeGeneres became the most retweeted photograph ever, racing past a record held by President Obama, when he tweeted a picture with the comment "Four more years" at the point of his re-election in November 2012. The President wants to get this record back! To achieve this challenge he is supported by Belgian live communication agency The Oval Office.

The person who will succeed in taking a selfie with President Obama and sharing the picture with as many people as possible will be rewarded with a duo ticket form Brussels Airlines to Washington DC to visit The White House ‘live’.

The procedure to follow is simple and clear:

  1. Take a picture with President Obama on March 26 during his visit to Belgium
  2. Share the selfie by using hashtag #ObamaSelfieBelgium
  3. The selfie with the most likes or retweets on March 28th at 12:00 PM (CET) wins a return flight ticket Brussels-Washington DC
