The Oval Office launches The House of Congress, a spin-off specialised in organising congresses

Live communication agency The Oval Office is launching a PCO (Professional Congress Organiser) named The House of Congress (www.thehouseofcongress.be). Under the leadership of Tuya Beyers, the new independent spin-off will concentrate on the organisation of congresses and conferences. As a full-service congress organiser, The House of Congress will offer all of the services that are required for putting on one-day or multi-day congresses: from location selection, financial management, event management to the marketing, promotion, publications and the complete logistics. In the areas of event marketing, communication, content marketing and PR, The House of Congress will be working together closely with the live communication experts of The Oval Office.

Total experiences

With the formation of The House of Congress, The Oval Office wishes to position itself more prominently on the expanding congresses and conferences market in Belgium. The presence in our country of many international institutions, trade and professional associations and the marketing efforts being made by cities like Brussels, Antwerp, Liège, Mons, Ghent, Leuven and Mechelen in order to profile themselves as a congress city are generating a significant increase in the number of business meetings.

But the very concept of congresses has been evolving as well. From platforms where the focus is on transmitting factual content there has developed a need for congresses where the content isn’t just shared, but also jointly ´experienced´.

“Congresses are in the process of becoming total experiences. Along with inspiring content and networking opportunities, participants are looking for a live experience that stimulates their senses and which they wish to share with their peers", says Tuya Beyers. "With The House of Congress, we want to create a congress experience that’s custom-tailored to the visitor."

Thanks to the unique combination of a strong, creative and substantive live communication and a seamless logistical organisation, The House of Congress hopes to quickly become a major player on the Belgian MICE market.

Tuya Beyers

The House of Congress is headed by Tuya Beyers, who previously worked for 13 years at The Oval Office, where she led a team of event managers. She was responsible there for the organisation of a number of congresses, including the Eurobest Festival, congresses for the Open VLD, ABVV Metaal and the International Fund for Scientific Research, a 3-day conference of the European Enterprise Network, the launch conference of C-Power and numerous conferences for DEME.
